Our doctors have all studied at prestigious institutions including the University of Oxford and University College London and have personally mentored hundreds of students through their admissions journeys.
This is why we’ve created our very own 1-Day Admissions package combing all of that knowledge, expertise and experience right in one place.

Create A Winning Personal Statement
After reading, reviewing and offering our comments on thousands of personal statements, we really do understand what makes the perfect personal statement. Our workshops allow students to draft their own paragraphs and work with doctors to develop original, quality pieces of work.
The example on the left showcases a real example from last summer’s workshop. If that’s what we can do in one session, imagine how much we can help over one summer. We also show examples of a variety of successful statements, demonstrating the different styles and techniques that can be used.
Join our workshop today, and leave the personal statement worries to us.
Your First Draft
I’ve always wanted to do medicine ever since I was a kid. Watching my dad who is a consultant in Accident & Emergency has helped a lot, teaching me about the challenges and difficulties of Medicine as well as the benefits. I have learnt more about these areas from reading books, watching the news and learning more about science and human biology in my spare time.
After MedAhead’s Workshop
My desire to pursue medicine stems from various experiences. My exposure to medicine has been helped by shadowing my dad who works in acute care. Through these opportunities, I was able to witness firsthand the hardships, collaborative efforts and knowledge needed to holistically treat patients. Although it is a demanding career, the ability to affect patient’s lives for the better leaves me aspiring to follow this path. To complement these experiences, I have followed the stream of news to keep up to date with the latest advances in medical research.

Recognising key patterns
UCAT
The team at MedAhead understand that this is a very stressful time. The UCAT remains one of the hardest admissions tests and that’s why we’re here to make it as easy as possible.
Team up with our doctors who have been through the exam themselves and have a proven track record of successful students along the way. Gain confidence, don’t panic and grab the scores you need. We have the strategy to get you where you need to go.
We tackle the ‘Thinking Skills’ Section by teaching methods to improve your critical thinking and analysis. We’ve also categorised the various questions you may get asked helping you quickly differentiate their style under pressure.
Section 2 centres on the foundations of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. This section remains notoriously time pressured with an average of one minute per question. But don’t worry, our Doctors have all scored in the top deciles for the test and can guide you to tackle this section too.
Finally, we dedicate some time to the Essay section. Our doctors will teach you basic ethical principles, help you frame your essay succinctly and guide you to ensure your essay truly stands out amongst the crowd.
Perfecting your strategy
BMAT
Our focus is on perfecting your technique, minimising careless errors and improving efficiencies. We work through a series of practice questions and provide worked examples to help familiarise you with the content.

Debating the Four Ethical Pillars
Modern medicine aims to abide by a series of principles or laws known collectively as the ‘four ethical pillars’. In the final part of our workshop, we dissect each of these historical ideals and provide a series of case-studies where the lines between these pillars are often blurred.
Developing a broad and in-depth understanding of these pillars will help you evaluate complex viewpoints and offer challenging arguments to medical debates. Moreover, interviewees that show a strong understanding of medical ethics always leave a much better impression.
